Aim: 
To provide students with an understanding of the role and practice of external auditing of financial statements.
Pre-requisites / Co-requisites: 
Students must be admitted to the Bach Business or Dip or GCert or GDip in Professional Accountancy to enrol in this course. Pre-reqs: (ACTY6206 or ALAF6206) & (ACTY6201 or ALAF6201 or ACTY6201S). Restriction for BBus & DPA: ALAF7209.
Topics include: 

The nature and purpose of auditing, audit planning and audit risk, audit procedures, audit reporting, ethical dilemmas for auditors, current issues in auditing.
