Aim: 
To enable students to apply the fundamental elements of economic theory to contemporary business issues.
Pre-requisites / Co-requisites: 
Restriction: ALAF5270.
Topics include: 

Allocating scarce resources, national economy concepts, demand and supply analysis, theory of the firm, limitations of the market, international trade, national income determination, money supply and monetary policy, current issues in the New Zealand economy.
