Aim: 
To introduce students to the fundamental concepts and analytical techniques used in financial management.
Pre-requisites / Co-requisites: 
Students must be admitted to the Bachelor of Business programme to enrol in this course. Pre-requisites: ACTY5401 or ALAF5401. Restriction: ALAF5290.
Topics include: 

The role of the financial manager, the principles of net present value, valuations of securities, investment selection and evaluation, the concept of pricing and risk, investment decisions under conditions of risk, capital structure decisions, dividend policy and short term financing decisions
