Sometimes unexpected and additional costs crop up during your studies. If you find yourself struggling to continue with your programme because of this, Unitec's Study Grant can help. Current, full-time, domestic students can apply for up to $500 through the grant and there are two opportunities to apply each year.
Unitec also has an emergency hardship fund that can provide a small one-off payment to help you cover the cost of unforeseen circumstances. The hardship fund is only available to domestic students and it can't be used to pay tuition fees. You'll need to show that you have already sought help from other agencies like Studylink or Work and Income prior to applying for support. If successful, we'll put you in touch with other support services who can help and Unitec's budget advisor to help you further.
