Book a Bike

Rick (CE) and Leon (Executive Dean of Faculty of Creative Industries and Business) slapped on some ankle straps and had a test drive of the new bookable Mt Albert campus bikes yesterday with the Green Gorilla.

The bikes are available for one month at Mt Albert as part of a trial with Auckland Transport of alternative campus transport methods. They are situated in B48 and can be booked in Groupwise and used to make your way between meetings on campus.

How to book a bike

1) Book like a meeting request in Groupwise – selecting 048-bike1 or 048-bike2 and book in your time.

Rick recommends Bike 2 – comes with an easily adjustable seat for the taller of you!

2) Collect your bike from B48 Reception.

The bikes all have lights, locks and helmets. Ankle straps, water proof bike seat and bag covers and a pump all at B48 reception.

3) Ride to your meeting

4) Return the bike to B48 when you’re done

5) Let us know how you found it! Email Carolyn Cox, Environmental Sustainability Manager, email ccox@unitec.ac.nz with your feedback.
