Vocational education on the North Shore
If you live in Albany or the wider North Shore, the Northern campus is an ideal place to study.
We offer the best training to meet the huge demand for skilled workers in the growing areas of trade training, healthcare, business, communication and IT.
We also provide English language programmes for new arrivals in New Zealand, and foundation programmes that prepare you for further study or employment.
Why has Unitec opened a campus in Albany?
- To give local residents, industry and high schools throughout Rodney and the North Shore access to an alternative tertiary option – vocational education and training.
- To offer students industry-relevant certificate and diploma qualifications to help them to get a job or continue training
- To offer students pre-apprentice training on the North Shore to get them into an apprenticeship
- To give students who successfully complete a certificate and diploma, the opportunity to apply to study at a higher level at Unitec’s Waitakere or Mt Albert campus or continue studying at another provider.
