Unitec is delighted to welcome Concentrix, a Fortune 500 company, into the Delivery Centre on their Mt Albert Campus. Concentrix, one of the world’s foremost customer engagement services companies, has recently come together with IBM to become a top 10 provider of customer engagement, technology and process innovation.
The new partnership will have huge benefits for Unitec students and the broader New Zealand business community.
Concentrix President Chris Caldwell was in Auckland last week to visit the Delivery Centre which was officially opened 12 months ago. The Centre has employed over 200 Unitec students who provide call centre and back office operations for some of New Zealand’s best known brands and a Fortune 500 company. In 2013, Unitec students accumulated more than 100,000 hours of practical, paid work and many also benefited from scholarships, mentoring and guest lectures from IBM.
“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Concentrix onto our campus and are excited about what this will mean for Unitec students and the broader business community in Auckland,” says Dr Rick Ede, Chief Executive of Unitec. “The world is changing at a rapid pace, and innovative partnerships like this give our students the skills and experience they need to add value to the businesses of the future.”

Dominic Sheehan, a Bachelor of Business student, jumped at the chance to gain invaluable work experience with a reputable global brand on campus.
“I was in the first intake for the Delivery Centre and since starting in this role I’ve been exposed to so many learning opportunities,” says Mr Sheehan. “It’s a great privilege to gain real world experience with an international corporate while studying. I’m increasing my industry experience and the skills I’m getting are highly transferable.”
