Profile

Dr. Praneel Chand has been invloved with the development and delivery of electrical/electronics engineering programmes at diploma and degree levels since 2001.  Recently, he contributed towards the development of an IPENZ accredited electrical/electronics engineering programme at The University of the South Pacific.

Dr. Chand has also been actively involved with engineering research since 2002. He has presented research at peer reviewed conferences and published in quality assured journals. He has been a member of several international conference technical program committees and a peer reviewer for journals as well.

He has been a reviewer for the following Journals: Robotics and Autonomous Systems (Elsevier journal), Robotica (Cambridge journals), Journal of Intelligent and Robotic Systems (Springer journal) and  International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems (Sage Publications). He has also been a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and The Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET).

Current teaching responsibilities:

  • Developing and teaching courses in the Bachelor of Applied Technology degree program.
  • Teaching courses in the Bachelor of Engineering Technology degree program.
  • Teaching courses in the New Zealand Diploma in Engineering program
