Architecture graduate and tutor brings student Hub to virtual life

Kevin Yu, a Unitec architecture graduate, working at ASC Architects and part-time Architecture Tutor at Unitec has created a virtual tour of their student Hub facility under construction and due to open in July 2017.

Kevin has worked for two years at ASC Architects in Auckland, who are the lead architects for the Hub.

The tour allows you to virtually wander through the new facility seeing how students might use different learning and social spaces and showcases the bright and airy open area with bright furnishings and unique elements including the ‘green wall’ being created by Unitec landscaping students.

The virtual tour was shared with Unitec staff for the first time on 8th December as part of the annual Staff Awards celebration.

The new student Hub is part of Unitec’s multi-million-dollar redevelopment programme to create a modern and vibrant learning environment in Auckland.
