Profile Andrew joined Unitec New Zealand at the start of 2002. He previously worked for 14 years for a large New Zealand multinational corporation, holding various accounting roles - financial accounting, management accounting, treasury operations, factory costing and implementation of new systems. Andrew has a teaching interest in Corporate Governance and Management Accounting. Andrew’s research interests focus on accounting education, and various topics within financial and management accounting such as management discussion and analysis, balanced scorecard approaches in industry, and corporate governance. More recently, Andrew has been involved with the development of case study material for management accounting courses. He is also involved with NZICA as a facilitator and marker for the professional competency exams and has contributed to the development of workshop material. Andrew has been part of the teaching team that has taught accounting courses at the Shandong Economic University in China. Andrew is a member of NZICA’s College of Chartered Accountants, and has served on the Auckland Branch Education Committee of NZICA. |
