Unitec film selected to screen at NZ International Film Festival
12 July 2012
2011 Unitec graduate and 2010 Study Award recipient, Yamin Tun's short film Two Princes has been selected to screen at the New Zealand International Film Festivals (NZIFF) in Auckland and Wellington.
Two Princes is about a father who takes up shadow puppetry to connect with his sons following the death of their beloved mother. In his grief and longing, he finds a voice he never knew he had.
The film, written and directed by Yamin, was produced by Unitec's Department of Performing and Screen Arts and made last year as her graduating work while completing a Graduate Diploma in Creative Practice (majoring in Directing), which her Study Award helped to fund. Two Princes will screen with the feature documentary In My Mother’s Arms in July and August.
To see both films, you can purchase tickets for In My Mother’s Arms.
