Become a START Mentor now!

You could be just the person to become a Unitec START Mentor. And, there's something in it for you, too!

The START mentor programme is is all about helping our new, first-year students to get the best start to their experience studying at Unitec. The programme aims to help new students settle into Unitec life with their studies and socially.  Mentors also help raise awareness of the many support services Unitec offers its students.

We're looking for current, experienced students from any faculty who are willing to support between 2 to 4 students in Semester Two, 2012, and 2 to 4 more students in Semester One, 2013.

In exchange for this service, our successful START Mentors will receive $1,200 towards their course costs at the end of Semester One 2013, provided they have fully participated in the mentoring programme.
